IMPAX Updates the Filing Status of Its Registration Statement

HAYWARD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 2008--IMPAX Laboratories, Inc. today announced that although it continues to make significant progress towards the completion of the audits for 2004 through 2007 and the filing of its Form 10 registration statement with the SEC pursuant to section 12(g) of the Securities Exchange Act, it will not meet its June 30 estimated date. The Company and its auditors continue to expend substantial resources to finalize the audits of its four years' financial results and the filing of its registration statement. The Company will issue a further announcement immediately following the filing of its registration statement. Section 12(g) provides that registration statements thereunder shall become effective within 60 days after filing. Trading in the Company's stock can resume when the registration statement becomes effective.
